2026 Belgian GP: Red Bull changes rear wing
BBC Sport reported Red Bull will revert to a conventional rear wing in Belgium after Max Verstappen’s recent crashes, with wider car issues still in focus.
BBC Sport reported that Red Bull will revert to a conventional rear wing for the 2026 Belgian Grand Prix after Max Verstappen’s crashes in the previous two races. The same outlet also reported Verstappen said a rear-wing failure was “super-dangerous”. Verstappen arrived at Spa seventh in the drivers' championship on 91 points, with 71 wins, 51 poles and 129 podiums from 242 Formula 1 starts.
At Spa, Autosport reported Verstappen qualified on the front row and said Isack Hadjar’s tow helped that effort. The same report said Hadjar, eighth in the standings on 60 points, is set to start from the back of the grid.
Elsewhere, Autosport and Motorsport.com both reported that Red Bull’s difficulties had continued into the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend. RaceFans reported Verstappen told the team the car felt aerodynamically damaged and hard to drive after a qualifying spin.
