News - 2026-08-13 - By Jenny Marsh

Reports from Motorsport.com and RaceFans kept Isack Hadjar in Red Bull seat discussion, but nothing was confirmed. He sat eighth on 68 points.

Reports linking Isack Hadjar to Red Bull seat discussion remained unconfirmed. Motorsport.com reported that talk around a Red Bull drive persisted into the middle of the 2026 Formula 1 season, and in a separate report said Hadjar described his move from Racing Bulls to the senior Red Bull team as a "culture shock" after stepping up to partner Max Verstappen.

That reporting came as Hadjar held eighth in the drivers' championship on 68 points, with Verstappen sixth on 109. RaceFans also examined their head-to-head record at the summer break. Hadjar had made 33 Formula 1 starts across 2025 and 2026, with one podium and a best finish of third, while Verstappen's career totals stood at 242 starts, 71 wins, 51 poles and 129 podiums from 2015 to 2026.
