Qualifying

Charles Leclerc qualified third for Ferrari with a 1:32.807, 0.006s behind Norris and 0.297s off pole. George Russell took fourth for Mercedes on 1:32.826, while Lewis Hamilton placed fifth for Ferrari with a 1:32.912.

Top 10

Carlos Sainz put Williams ninth on the grid with a 1:33.150 in Q3. Fernando Alonso completed the top 10 for Aston Martin on 1:33.160, 0.010s behind Sainz.

Grid implications

Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes all placed at least one car in the top seven in qualifying for round 19. Ferrari had both Leclerc and Hamilton in the top five, while McLaren put Norris and Piastri second and sixth at Circuit of the Americas.
