Yuki Tsunoda is back with Racing Bulls at Zandvoort after Isack Hadjar’s wrist injury opened a seat, according to Motorsport.com and RaceFans. Motorsport.com also reported that the switch formed part of a wider reshuffle involving Liam Lawson, which put Tsunoda back on the Formula 1 grid for the Dutch Grand Prix weekend.

Formula1.com reported that Tsunoda said he felt “like a rookie” on his first day back. Motorsport.com added that the return comes with extra difficulty because he has not previously driven the 2026-spec Racing Bulls car and is stepping in on a sprint weekend.

Tsunoda, born on 11 May 2000, raced in Formula 1 from 2021 to 2025 and is listed with Red Bull. Motorsport.com reported that the call-up came unexpectedly during the summer break, giving the Japanese driver a fresh chance in a race seat at Zandvoort.
