Lando Norris won the Singapore Grand Prix from pole by 20.945s over Max Verstappen, who still led the drivers' championship on 331 points.

Lando Norris won the Singapore Grand Prix at the Marina Bay Street Circuit by 20.945 seconds from Max Verstappen. The McLaren driver started from pole position and converted it into 25 points in round 18 on 22 September 2024.

Race

Verstappen started second and finished second for Red Bull, while Oscar Piastri took third for McLaren after lining up fifth on the grid. George Russell finished fourth for Mercedes from fourth on the grid, and Charles Leclerc climbed from ninth to fifth for Ferrari.

Lewis Hamilton started third and dropped to sixth for Mercedes, while Carlos Sainz gained three places from 10th to seventh for Ferrari. Fernando Alonso finished eighth for Aston Martin and Nico Hülkenberg took ninth for Haas F1 Team, with both classified a lap down, while Sergio Pérez rose from 13th to 10th for Red Bull and scored the final point.

Daniel Ricciardo set the fastest lap on lap 60 with a 1:34.486. Norris's winning time was 1:40:52.571, with Verstappen recorded at +20.945 and Piastri at +41.823.

Championship

Verstappen remained first in the drivers' championship after the race with 331 points. Norris moved on to 279 points in second place, while Leclerc held third on 245 points.
