Oscar Piastri won the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix by 2.843s from Max Verstappen, moving to 99 points and the drivers' championship lead.

Oscar Piastri won the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on 20 April 2025 at Jeddah Corniche Circuit, finishing 2.843 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen. The McLaren driver started second, while Verstappen took second place for Red Bull after starting from pole position.

Race

Charles Leclerc finished third for Ferrari from fourth on the grid, 8.104 seconds behind the winner. Lando Norris took fourth for McLaren after starting 10th, ending the race 9.196 seconds off Piastri and gaining six places.

George Russell placed fifth for Mercedes from third on the grid, with Andrea Kimi Antonelli sixth from fifth in the second Mercedes. Lewis Hamilton finished seventh for Ferrari from seventh, while Carlos Sainz came home eighth for Williams after starting sixth.

The result left Piastri leading the drivers' championship on 99 points after round five. Norris held second on 89 points, and Verstappen sat third on 87.
