Qualifying

George Russell secured third for Mercedes with a 1:27.407 in Q3, while Charles Leclerc placed fourth for Ferrari on 1:27.670. Andrea Kimi Antonelli gave Mercedes a second car in the top five with a 1:27.866, and Carlos Sainz qualified sixth for Williams with a 1:28.164.

Lewis Hamilton took seventh for Ferrari on a 1:28.201, with Yuki Tsunoda eighth for Red Bull on 1:28.204. Pierre Gasly completed the Q3 runners in ninth for Alpine F1 Team with a 1:28.367.

Grid

Lando Norris will start 10th for McLaren after reaching Q2 but not setting a Q3 time. Norris had posted a 1:27.805 in Q1 and a 1:27.481 in Q2 before ending the session without a Q3 lap.

At the front, Verstappen improved from 1:27.529 in Q2 to 1:27.294 in Q3 to secure pole position. Piastri also found time from 1:27.545 in Q2 to 1:27.304 in Q3, while Russell moved from 1:27.599 to 1:27.407 to lock in third on the grid.
