Motorsport.com reported that Carlos Sainz has advised Williams junior Will Green to prioritise finding the limit over consistency as the 13-year-old prepares to move from karting into single-seaters.

The report said Green joined the Williams Racing Academy in December 2024 and recently secured the 2026 Karting European title ahead of that expected next step into cars.

Sainz brought substantial Formula 1 experience to that reported view. The Spaniard competed in F1 from 2015 to 2026, making 241 starts with four wins, five pole positions and 29 podiums, and he sits 16th in the 2026 drivers' championship on six points.
