Carlos Sainz has signed a new Williams contract for 2027. Formula1.com announced the extension, while BBC Sport reported the deal keeps the Spaniard at Williams into 2027 and beyond.
The move came one day after Alex Albon’s own extension, according to Formula1.com, and Autosport and Motorsport.com reported that Williams has now confirmed its 2027 driver line-up. RaceFans also reported that Sainz’s agreement is a multi-year deal.
Sainz is in his 12th Formula 1 season and has made 241 starts, with four wins, five pole positions and 29 podiums across five teams. He is 15th in the 2026 drivers' championship on six points.
