Red Bull team news: Tom Hart linked to Lambiase role

Autosport and Motorsport.com reported Tom Hart is set to replace Gianpiero Lambiase as Max Verstappen’s race engineer at Red Bull.

Autosport and Motorsport.com reported that Red Bull is set to promote Tom Hart to succeed Gianpiero Lambiase as Max Verstappen’s race engineer. Autosport added that Red Bull had confirmed Hart’s appointment to that outlet, while Motorsport.com said the move followed earlier reporting by De Telegraaf.

If completed as reported, the change would reshape the engineering group around Verstappen. The Dutch driver is seventh in the 2026 drivers’ championship on 76 points, and he has compiled 242 Formula 1 starts, 71 wins, 51 pole positions and 129 podiums since his debut in 2015.

Red Bull has competed in Formula 1 since 2005 and has won 130 Grands Prix and six constructors’ titles. Hart’s reported promotion would therefore come inside one of the series’ most successful current teams.
