Robin Raikkonen joins Red Bull junior programme

Robin Raikkonen has joined Red Bull’s junior programme, with Formula1.com and other outlets reporting the karting prospect is Kimi Raikkonen’s son.

Robin Raikkonen has joined Red Bull’s junior programme, as reported by Formula1.com, Motorsport.com and RaceFans. Motorsport.com identified him as the son of 2007 Formula 1 world champion Kimi Raikkonen.

Motorsport.com reported that Raikkonen was born on 27 January 2015 and has been active in karting since 2022. The same report said he has raced in the Rotax Max Challenge in Switzerland and elsewhere in Europe.

The addition links Robin Raikkonen to one of Formula 1’s longest-running young-driver systems. Red Bull, the Austrian constructor founded in 2005, has won 130 Grands Prix and six constructors’ titles.
