Max Verstappen won the Qatar Grand Prix from third on the grid, beating Oscar Piastri by 7.995s as Lando Norris stayed top of the standings.

Max Verstappen won the Qatar Grand Prix at Losail International Circuit on 30 November 2025, beating Oscar Piastri by 7.995 seconds. The Red Bull driver started third in round 23 of the season, while pole-sitter Piastri finished second for McLaren and set the fastest lap with a 1:22.996 on lap 44.

Race

Carlos Sainz finished third for Williams after starting seventh, ending the race 22.665 seconds behind Verstappen. Lando Norris took fourth for McLaren from second on the grid, 23.315 seconds off the winner.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli placed fifth for Mercedes from fifth on the grid, and George Russell followed in sixth after starting fourth. Fernando Alonso finished seventh for Aston Martin from eighth, while Charles Leclerc climbed from 10th on the grid to eighth for Ferrari.

Liam Lawson scored two points in ninth for RB F1 Team after starting 12th, and Yuki Tsunoda took the final point in 10th for Red Bull from 15th on the grid. All 10 classified points scorers were listed as finished in the race results.

Championship

Norris remained first in the drivers' championship after the race with 408 points despite finishing fourth in Qatar. Verstappen's victory moved him to 396 points in second, and Piastri's second place left him third on 392 points.
