Lando Norris McLaren deal to 2030 confirmed

Lando Norris has signed a new McLaren contract through 2030, with reports also pointing to options beyond that as he sits fourth in 2026 on 159 points.

McLaren have signed Lando Norris to a new contract through the end of 2030, as confirmed by Formula1.com and reported by BBC Sport, Autosport, Motorsport.com and RaceFans. Autosport and Motorsport.com added that the agreement includes options for further years beyond 2030.

Formula1.com and BBC Sport both reported that Norris explained his reasons for committing his future to McLaren in interviews around the announcement. The 26-year-old went into this point of the 2026 season fourth in the drivers' championship on 159 points, and his Formula 1 record stands at 161 Grands Prix for McLaren with 11 wins and 16 pole positions.

The new deal keeps McLaren tied to its 2025 world champion for the rest of the decade. It also extends a partnership that has covered Norris' full Formula 1 career since his debut in 2019.
