Norris extends McLaren deal, launches LN4 Fusion

Lando Norris has extended his McLaren contract to at least 2030 and, according to multiple reports, launched LN4 Fusion to back young drivers.

Lando Norris has extended his McLaren contract to at least the end of 2030, according to BBC Sport, with Autosport reporting the new deal also includes multi-year options beyond that date. The 26-year-old has raced for McLaren in Formula 1 since 2019 and, heading into this point of the 2026 season, sat fourth in the drivers' championship on 159 points.

Across 161 Grands Prix starts, Norris has scored 11 wins and 16 pole positions. Separately, BBC Sport reported that he is setting up a junior team to support young drivers on the route to Formula 1.

Motorsport.com reported the project is called LN4 Fusion and has been created with Fusion Motorsport, with plans to compete on Europe’s single-seater ladder from 2027. RaceFans also reported the programme is expected to race in Formula 3 and potentially Formula 2.
