Campos was Alonso’s late mentor and first manager, according to Motorsport.com. Adrián Campos raced in Formula 1 with Minardi in 1988 and entered two Grands Prix. Alonso arrived at the Italian Grand Prix 19th in the drivers' championship on three points.
