Miami Grand Prix 2026: Antonelli wins from pole
Andrea Kimi Antonelli won the Miami Grand Prix from pole by 3.264s over Lando Norris, extending his drivers' championship lead after round 4.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli won the Miami Grand Prix at the Miami International Autodrome from pole position, beating Lando Norris by 3.264 seconds. Norris finished second for McLaren and set the fastest lap on lap 35 with a 1:31.869.
Race
Antonelli completed the 2026 race in 1:33:19.273 for Mercedes and scored 25 points in round 4. Norris started fourth for McLaren and finished second, while Oscar Piastri climbed from seventh on the grid to third and took 15 points.
George Russell finished fourth for Mercedes after starting fifth and added 12 points. Max Verstappen dropped from second on the grid to fifth for Red Bull, while Lewis Hamilton took sixth for Ferrari from sixth on the grid.
Further back, Franco Colapinto finished seventh for Alpine F1 Team after starting eighth, and Charles Leclerc fell from third on the grid to eighth for Ferrari. Williams placed both cars in the points as Carlos Sainz rose from 13th to ninth and Alexander Albon moved from 15th to 10th.
Standings
The result left Antonelli leading the drivers' championship on 100 points after the Miami Grand Prix. Russell remained second in the standings on 80 points, and Leclerc held third on 59 points despite finishing eighth.
Fastest lap
Norris recorded the fastest lap for McLaren on lap 35 in 1:31.869. Piastri joined him on the podium in third, giving McLaren second and third at Miami.
