Lando Norris won the Miami Grand Prix on 5 May 2024 at the Miami International Autodrome, beating Max Verstappen by 7.612 seconds. Norris started fifth for McLaren and finished in 1:30:49.876, while Verstappen started first for Red Bull and took second.
Race
Charles Leclerc finished third for Ferrari after starting second, 9.920 seconds behind Norris. Sergio Pérez took fourth for Red Bull from fourth on the grid at +14.650, while Carlos Sainz dropped from third to fifth for Ferrari at +16.407.
Lewis Hamilton gained two places from eighth to sixth for Mercedes at +16.585. Yuki Tsunoda moved from 10th to seventh for RB F1 Team at +26.185, George Russell finished eighth for Mercedes after starting seventh at +34.789, and Fernando Alonso climbed from 15th to ninth for Aston Martin at +37.107.
Esteban Ocon completed the points in 10th for Alpine F1 Team after starting 13th at +39.746. Oscar Piastri set the fastest lap in 1:30.634 on lap 43.
Championship
After round six, Verstappen led the drivers' championship on 136 points. Pérez held second on 103 points, and Leclerc was third on 98 points.
