Reports from the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid said Lewis Hamilton crashed at the final corner in FP3, bringing out a red flag. Motorsport.com reported that the Ferrari driver reversed away from the wall after the impact; Hamilton came into this stage of the season third in the drivers’ championship on 191 points.

The same outlet also reported that Hamilton kept going in the damaged car despite Ferrari telling him to stop, which then drew criticism from some fans. In a separate Motorsport.com report, former Formula 1 driver Anthony Davidson said Hamilton had set a poor example for junior drivers during the session. Ferrari is in its 77th Formula 1 season.

Separate reports from Motorsport.com said Arvid Lindblad crashed in FP2 at Turn 13 after losing control of his Racing Bulls car, damaging the right-hand side. Motorsport.com also reported that Lindblad still qualified 10th for the Spanish Grand Prix.
