Spanish GP 2026: Antonelli fastest in FP2

Andrea Kimi Antonelli topped Spanish Grand Prix FP2 at Madring, with Charles Leclerc second, while multiple outlets reported a crash for Arvid Lindblad.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli was fastest in second practice for the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix at Madring. Formula1.com reported that the Mercedes driver led the session ahead of Charles Leclerc, and Autosport, Motorsport.com and RaceFans also placed Antonelli at the top of the FP2 times.

Antonelli arrived at the weekend leading the drivers' championship on 267 points. Across 33 Formula 1 starts with Mercedes in 2025 and 2026, the Italian has five wins, five poles and 10 podiums. Leclerc, who sat fifth in the standings on 155 points, added another solid Friday result; he has 182 entries, nine wins, 24 poles and 53 podiums in Formula 1.

Autosport, Motorsport.com and RaceFans also reported that Arvid Lindblad crashed during the session. RaceFans reported that Lindblad had been running fourth before the incident.
