Madrid support races: Ugochukwu title, Vettel in ROC
Autosport reported Ugo Ugochukwu clinched the 2026 Formula 3 title in Madrid, while Motorsport.com said Sebastian Vettel joined ROC's New Zealand launch.
Autosport reported that Ugo Ugochukwu clinched the 2026 Formula 3 title on Sunday at the Madring weekend. The report said Campos Racing driver Ugochukwu and Trident’s Freddie Slater had become the two main contenders over the summer through their feature-race consistency.
Separately, Motorsport.com reported that Race Of Champions had named its first four drivers for the event’s first visit to New Zealand. According to that report, the meeting is set for 9-10 January 2027 at Wellington’s Hnry Stadium.
Motorsport.com said Sebastian Vettel, a four-time Formula 1 world champion, is among those first four names. The Madrid support bill therefore brought one reported junior-title outcome and a separate off-season announcement involving a former F1 champion.
