George Russell took pole position for the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix with a Q3 lap of 1:32.312 for Mercedes. Carlos Sainz qualified second for Ferrari, 0.098s behind Russell, as round 22 of the season was set at the Las Vegas Strip Street Circuit.

Qualifying

Pierre Gasly secured third on the grid for Alpine F1 Team with a 1:32.664 in Q3. Charles Leclerc qualified fourth for Ferrari on 1:32.783, and Max Verstappen took fifth for Red Bull with a 1:32.797.

Lando Norris placed sixth for McLaren with a 1:33.008 in Q3. Yuki Tsunoda followed in seventh for RB F1 Team on 1:33.029, while Oscar Piastri qualified eighth for McLaren with a 1:33.033.

Grid

Nico Hülkenberg put Haas F1 Team ninth on the grid with a 1:33.062 in Q3. Lewis Hamilton qualified 10th for Mercedes after recording a 1:48.106 lap in the final segment.

Earlier in the session, Hamilton had been quickest among the 10 Q3 runners in Q2 with a 1:32.567. Russell progressed through Q1 in 1:33.186 and Q2 in 1:32.779 before taking pole with his final 1:32.312.
