Formula1.com’s live coverage later reported that the race would resume shortly after the red flag. Its official grid publication had listed the starting order for Sunday’s race before the interruption.

Leclerc came into Monza fifth in the 2026 drivers’ championship on 155 points. The Ferrari driver had recorded 182 Formula 1 entries, nine wins, 24 poles and 53 podiums before his home race, while Ferrari was competing in its 77th season with 250 wins and 16 constructors’ titles.
