Formula1.com reported that George Russell, who led much of the race, finished second, with Max Verstappen third. Antonelli arrived at Monza leading the drivers' championship on 267 points; Russell was second on 201. The win was Antonelli’s fifth in Formula 1, adding to a career record that also includes five poles and 10 podiums.

Charles Leclerc retired after a crash at Parabolica on lap two while defending fourth from Oscar Piastri, according to Autosport, Motorsport.com and RaceFans, which also reported that the impact stopped the race. Ferrari’s home event also brought sixth for Lewis Hamilton, with Formula1.com calling it a difficult afternoon for the team. Pierre Gasly, who had taken his first pole position on Saturday, finished seventh, according to Formula1.com; he came into the weekend 10th in the standings on 41 points.

Franco Colapinto recovered to ninth after what Motorsport.com described as a costly mistake, while Formula1.com also reported that the Alpine driver fought back into the points. Formula1.com’s race-day coverage said team mate Gasly’s seventh place completed a points finish for Alpine after its strong qualifying performance.
