Reported incidents disrupted 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix practice, with Turn 1 repaired overnight as Ferrari and McLaren traded the fastest times.

Reported incidents disrupted practice at the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix. Autosport reported that crashes and red flags interrupted Friday running, and that Turn 1 at the Hungaroring was partially resurfaced overnight after driver complaints.

On pace, Autosport reported that Charles Leclerc was fastest in FP1, while BBC Sport and Autosport both reported that Lewis Hamilton led a Ferrari one-two from Leclerc in FP2. Hamilton arrived in Hungary second in the 2026 drivers' championship on 169 points, with Leclerc fourth on 138. Autosport also reported that Lando Norris set the quickest time in final practice ahead of Hamilton.

Aston Martin's upgrade package was another reported theme of the weekend. BBC Sport reported that Fernando Alonso said he was optimistic about the new parts, while Autosport reported that Lance Stroll lost Friday running after a suspected suspension failure and that Alonso later reached Q2 for the first time in grand prix qualifying this season.
