Reports after the Hungarian Grand Prix said Oliver Bearman struggled for confidence in the Haas, while both drivers again finished outside the points.

Reports after the Hungarian Grand Prix pointed to fresh concerns over the Haas package. Formula1.com said Oliver Bearman felt he lost confidence in the car across the weekend, while he and team mate Esteban Ocon both finished outside the points for Haas.

Motorsport.com also reported that Bearman said Haas should not have been fighting Aston Martin and linked his Q1 exit at the Hungaroring to inconsistency in the car. Bearman sits 13th in the 2026 drivers’ championship on 18 points, while Ocon is 17th on three.

The wider context is a team still looking for a breakthrough. Haas F1 Team has raced in Formula 1 since 2016 and, across 11 seasons to 2026, has yet to record a win or a constructors' title. Bearman, born on 8 May 2005, has entered 36 grands prix from 2024 to 2026 for Ferrari and Haas F1 Team.
