Motorsport.com reported that Lewis Hamilton has welcomed a golden retriever puppy named Halo during Formula 1’s summer break. The outlet said the dog is a golden retriever and reported that Hamilton acquired Halo from US-based breeder Goldiva Goldens, but there has been no official confirmation.

The same report said Halo would be Hamilton’s first dog since the death of his English bulldog Roscoe, who died of pneumonia at the age of 13 in September last year. Hamilton, born on 7 January 1985, has raced in Formula 1 since 2007 for McLaren, Mercedes and Ferrari, and the seven-time world champion currently sits second in the 2026 drivers’ championship on 169 points.
