Red Bull 2026 talk grows around Hadjar, Verstappen
Reports around Red Bull’s 2026 driver plans have intensified as Isack Hadjar’s progress draws notice and Max Verstappen’s future faces scrutiny.
Reports around Red Bull’s 2026 driver line-up have intensified, but no change has been confirmed. Formula1.com highlighted Isack Hadjar’s progress over the Silverstone weekend and reported that he earned praise from Red Bull management, while Motorsport.com cited Will Buxton’s view that Hadjar has looked more competitive alongside Max Verstappen than Red Bull’s recent team-mates.
Hadjar is eighth in the 2026 drivers’ championship on 52 points and has one podium from 33 Formula 1 starts, with a best finish of third. Formula1.com also reported that Verstappen’s Silverstone retirement was his third DNF of the season and extended his winless run to nine races, adding to speculation about his future. Verstappen is seventh in the standings on 76 points, and BBC Sport reported discussion over what a move elsewhere might mean, while Motorsport.com said Jenson Button sees Mercedes as the most likely option. None of that amounts to a confirmed plan.
