Reports during the 2026 Belgian Grand Prix weekend linked Isack Hadjar with a future Red Bull seat, but no move has been confirmed. Autosport reported Hadjar was set to start from the back at Spa after taking his fifth power unit of 2026, including a new internal combustion engine, turbocharger and exhaust system, which put him beyond the season allowance of four.

Autosport also reported that Max Verstappen said Hadjar’s tow helped him secure a front-row start in qualifying. Motorsport.com later reported Hadjar was praised for his work in qualifying and for recovering from the back of the grid to finish sixth on Sunday.

Hadjar is eighth in the 2026 drivers’ championship on 60 points. Across 2025 and 2026, the French driver has entered 33 Formula 1 races, with one podium finish and a best result of third.
