2026 Spanish GP: Hadjar out with wrist injury

BBC Sport and other outlets reported Isack Hadjar will miss the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix with a wrist injury, with Liam Lawson set to replace him.

Isack Hadjar will miss this weekend’s 2026 Spanish Grand Prix as he continues to recover from a wrist injury, BBC Sport reported. Autosport, Motorsport.com and RaceFans also reported that the French driver has been ruled out of the Madrid round.

Those outlets said it will be Hadjar’s third consecutive grand prix missed because of the same injury. Autosport and Motorsport.com reported that Liam Lawson will return to the Red Bull car, while Yuki Tsunoda will race for Racing Bulls again.

Hadjar came into this stage of the 2026 season eighth in the drivers’ championship on 71 points. Across 33 Formula 1 starts, the French driver has recorded one podium finish, with a best result of third.
