Spanish GP 2026: Hadjar absence reported again

BBC Sport and Autosport reported that Isack Hadjar is set to miss this weekend’s 2026 Spanish Grand Prix as he continues to recover from a wrist injury. With the situation not confirmed, the reported absence would mark a third consecutive grand prix missed for the French driver.

Autosport reported that Liam Lawson is due to return in Hadjar’s place for the Madrid weekend. Motorsport.com separately reported that team principal Laurent Mekies said Hadjar’s recovery remained on track, adding that Red Bull saw no issue with the process.

Hadjar has entered 33 Formula 1 races across 2025 and 2026, with one podium and a best finish of third. He sits eighth in the 2026 drivers’ championship on 71 points, so another missed round would keep him off the grid for longer if the reports are confirmed.
