Haas 2027 line-up call still open after TPC test

Autosport and Motorsport.com reported Haas completed a TPC test with Ryo Hirakawa, Leonardo Fornaroli and Rafael Camara as its 2027 plans remain open.

Autosport and Motorsport.com reported that Haas has not made a final decision on its 2027 Formula 1 driver line-up. Both outlets said the team completed a Testing of Previous Cars run with Ryo Hirakawa, Leonardo Fornaroli and Rafael Camara, with attention on Haas’s future plans increasing after the summer break.

The same reports said Haas is not switching its focus to 2027 development yet and is instead preparing VF-26 updates for Monza. According to those outlets, team boss Ayao Komatsu and driver Oliver Bearman remain hopeful the team can recover ground after losing pace relative to rivals during the 2026 season.

Haas F1 Team was founded in 2014 and has raced in Formula 1 since 2016. Across 11 seasons from 2016 to 2026, the American team has yet to score a grand prix win or a constructors’ championship title, which gives added context to the importance of its next long-term driver choice.
