Haas partner talks could lift 2027 F1 budget

Autosport and Motorsport.com reported Haas is making progress in partner talks as the team looks to move its 2027 Formula 1 budget closer to the cost cap.

Autosport and Motorsport.com reported that Haas is making progress in talks with a potential new partner as the team looks to move its 2027 Formula 1 budget closer to the cost cap. Both outlets said team principal Ayao Komatsu described the discussions positively, with the aim of strengthening the team’s annual budget by 2027.

The same reports said Haas remains Formula 1’s smallest team and employs just over 400 people, leaving the American outfit operating below the spending limit. Founded in 2014, Haas F1 Team has raced in Formula 1 since 2016 and, across 11 seasons from 2016 to 2026, has yet to record a Grand Prix win or a constructors’ title.
