2026 Italian GP: Gasly pole after Monaco appeal

At Monza, Autosport reported that the Alpine driver took the first pole position of his Formula 1 career for the 2026 Italian Grand Prix. The outlet reported that Gasly beat George Russell by 0.060s in Q3, and also said Alpine had brought back a folding rear wing for the weekend.

The reported Monaco appeal decision cut into Gasly’s results record, while the Monza pole put him at the front of the grid for Sunday. His previous best in Formula 1 remains one win, and that victory also came at Monza.
