2027 F1 calendar set: Monaco joins sprint list

Formula 1 has confirmed a 24-race 2027 calendar, with Bahrain opening on 14 March, Abu Dhabi closing the season and Monaco added to 10 sprint weekends.

Formula 1 has confirmed its 2027 calendar, with 24 races on the schedule. BBC Sport reported that sprint weekends will increase from six to 10, while Autosport and Motorsport.com reported that the season will begin with the Bahrain Grand Prix on 14 March and finish in Abu Dhabi.

Monaco is among the 10 sprint events. RaceFans reported that the Monaco Grand Prix will host a sprint for the first time, while Autosport and Motorsport.com also included Monaco in the expanded sprint schedule.

The announcement means sprint weekends will make up a larger part of the 2027 season. Across the grid, teams are preparing for another 24-round campaign under the confirmed calendar.
