Dutch Grand Prix 2026: Norris takes Zandvoort pole
Lando Norris took pole for the Dutch Grand Prix 2026 at Zandvoort with a 1:11.163, beating George Russell by 0.102s as Mercedes locked out second and third.
Lando Norris took pole position for the Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Park Zandvoort on 23 August 2026 with a Q3 lap of 1:11.163. George Russell qualified second for Mercedes on 1:11.265, 0.102s behind Norris.
Qualifying
Andrea Kimi Antonelli put the second Mercedes third with a Q3 time of 1:11.296, while Oscar Piastri took fourth for McLaren on 1:11.305. Norris had already led McLaren into Q3 with 1:11.628 in Q2 after a 1:12.695 lap in Q1.
Russell reached the final segment with 1:11.959 in Q2 after a 1:12.924 effort in Q1, and Antonelli progressed on 1:11.915 after a 1:13.022 opener. Piastri’s route to fourth included 1:12.610 in Q1 and 1:11.641 in Q2.
Front row
Mercedes placed Russell alongside Norris on the front row, and Antonelli followed in third on the second row. McLaren also put Piastri fourth, leaving the top four covered by 0.142s from Norris’s 1:11.163 to Piastri’s 1:11.305.
Ferrari filled the third row, with Lewis Hamilton fifth on 1:11.494 and Charles Leclerc sixth on 1:11.558. Hamilton opened with 1:12.673 and improved to 1:11.970 in Q2, while Leclerc went from 1:13.064 in Q1 to 1:11.910 in Q2 before his final Q3 lap.
Top 10 grid
Max Verstappen qualified seventh for Red Bull with 1:11.618 after 1:11.874 in Q2, and Liam Lawson took eighth for Red Bull on 1:11.733. Lawson reached Q3 with a 1:12.301 lap in Q2 after a 1:13.392 run in Q1.
Gabriel Bortoleto completed the top nine for Audi on 1:12.079, and Arvid Lindblad took tenth for RB F1 Team on 1:12.185. Bortoleto progressed with 1:13.142 in Q1 and 1:12.433 in Q2, while Lindblad advanced on 1:13.074 and 1:12.525 before his Q3 time.
