2026 Dutch Grand Prix: Norris takes Zandvoort pole

Lando Norris secured pole for the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort by 0.102s over George Russell, after a weekend that also brought Russell sprint success.

Lando Norris secured pole position for the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, with BBC Sport, Autosport and Motorsport.com reporting that he beat George Russell by 0.102s. Those outlets also reported Kimi Antonelli qualified third, while Motorsport.com said the Mercedes driver was 0.133s off pole after a mistake at Turn 1.

The same qualifying reports said rain threatened the closing runs, while Formula1.com reported Russell took a front-row start and Max Verstappen qualified seventh, one place ahead of stand-in Red Bull team mate Liam Lawson. Formula1.com also reported Norris arrived at Zandvoort after winning the previous round in Hungary.

Earlier in the weekend, BBC Sport, Autosport and Motorsport.com reported Russell won the sprint from pole, with Charles Leclerc second and Norris third. Autosport and Motorsport.com also reported Russell had taken sprint pole by 0.041s over Norris, while practice was topped by Antonelli.
