Formula1.com reported that Alpine Managing Director Steve Nielsen discussed Franco Colapinto’s future with the team, with the Argentine’s current contract running to the end of 2026. No decision on an extension or any change to his status has been confirmed.

Colapinto, born on 27 May 2003, has entered 36 Formula One races and recorded a best finish of sixth. He is 13th in the 2026 drivers’ championship on 18 points.
