Cadillac 2026 F1 start: what reports say so far
Cadillac’s first Formula 1 season has brought early setbacks, with Formula1.com and Motorsport.com reporting slow progress and no points so far.
Cadillac F1 Team entered Formula 1 in 2026 for its first season, with no race wins or constructors’ titles in its history to date. Formula1.com reported that the new squad has faced early problems in its debut campaign, while Motorsport.com described its opening phase as a respectable start and reported that Cadillac was bottom of the standings without a point after 11 rounds.
BBC Sport followed the project across a documentary series, reporting on the factory, the car build and the team’s early track running. Its episodes also said Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez were part of Cadillac’s comeback line-up, while Formula1.com separately reported Bottas’ positive view of the move. Bottas adds experience: he has 256 Formula 1 entries, 10 wins, 19 poles and 67 podiums, and he is listed on 0 points in 2026.
