Cadillac have appointed Marcin Budkowski as team principal in place of Graeme Lowdon, with BBC Sport and specialist outlets detailing the change.

Cadillac have appointed Marcin Budkowski as team principal in place of Graeme Lowdon, a change confirmed by Formula1.com and also reported by BBC Sport. The American team is in its first Formula 1 season in 2026 and has yet to record a race win or a constructors' title.

Formula1.com described Budkowski as a former Alpine executive director. Autosport and Motorsport.com reported that the 49-year-old has worked in Formula 1 for more than two decades, including roles as an aerodynamicist at Prost, Ferrari and McLaren before moving into senior management.

Autosport and Motorsport.com also reported that Lowdon's departure was not a mutual decision and that he was told on the morning of the announcement. The appointment of Budkowski itself is confirmed across the supplied sources.
