British Grand Prix 2025: Norris wins at Silverstone
Lando Norris won the British Grand Prix 2025 by 6.812s from Oscar Piastri, while Piastri kept the drivers' championship lead after round 12.
Lando Norris won the 2025 British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit by 6.812 seconds from McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri. Norris started third on the grid and scored 25 points in round 12 on 6 July 2025.
Race
Piastri finished second from second on the grid and added 18 points for McLaren. Nico Hülkenberg took third for Sauber after starting 19th, finishing 34.742 seconds behind Norris for a gain of 16 places.
Lewis Hamilton came home fourth for Ferrari after lining up fifth at Silverstone. Max Verstappen started from pole position for Red Bull but finished fifth, 56.781 seconds off the winner.
Key movers
Pierre Gasly finished sixth for Alpine F1 Team from eighth on the grid, while Lance Stroll climbed from 17th to seventh for Aston Martin. Alexander Albon moved from 13th to eighth for Williams, and Fernando Alonso finished ninth for Aston Martin after starting seventh.
George Russell took the final point in 10th for Mercedes after starting fourth and ending 1:10.674 behind Norris. Piastri also set fastest lap on lap 51 with a 1:29.337.

Piastri left the British Grand Prix leading the drivers' championship on 234 points. Norris moved to 226 points in second, while Verstappen stayed third on 165 points.
