The 2026 British Grand Prix drew a record 564,000 fans at Silverstone, while the weekend also produced viral LEGO parade clips and other off-track moments.
The 2026 British Grand Prix drew 564,000 fans across the four-day event, with BBC Sport reporting that Silverstone set a new Formula 1 attendance record. BBC Sport also featured a separate story from the weekend about a father taking his autistic son to the race, reporting that Silverstone had made a live visit viable for the family.
Off the circuit, Formula1.com highlighted several moments from the weekend, including the LEGO drivers' parade and a British boyband appearance. Ahead of the event, Autosport reported that all 22 drivers would use custom LEGO minicars on the parade lap, with each kart built from 28,000 bricks and capable of 25km/h.
Those minicars then became one of the weekend's most shared clips, with Motorsport.com reporting that several ended up stranded in the gravel during the parade. Motorsport.com also reported that replica helmets were stolen from the Red Bull STEMx van after the event. For home driver Lando Norris, the Silverstone round came with him fifth in the 2026 drivers' championship on 97 points; by that stage of his Formula 1 career, he had 11 wins and 16 pole positions from 161 Grands Prix for McLaren.
