Charles Leclerc won the 2026 British Grand Prix, with George Russell second and Lewis Hamilton third, as Silverstone also set an F1 weekend attendance record.

Charles Leclerc won the 2026 British Grand Prix, with BBC Sport and Autosport reporting that George Russell finished second and Lewis Hamilton took third. Leclerc went into the race fourth in the drivers' championship on 108 points, while Russell was second on 154 and Hamilton third on 147.

BBC Sport reported that Kimi Antonelli had taken pole position for Silverstone, while Autosport added that Leclerc moved ahead at the start. BBC Sport said Antonelli and Max Verstappen both failed to score, and Autosport reported Verstappen crashed at Stowe late in the race before a safety-car finish.

Afterwards, Autosport and RaceFans reported that the FIA said a software error was behind the handling of the late safety-car period. Away from the race itself, BBC Sport reported a four-day attendance of 564,000 at Silverstone, described as a Formula 1 weekend record.
