Reports ahead of the 2026 Belgian Grand Prix indicate Lando Norris, Isack Hadjar and Carlos Sainz could take grid penalties at Spa-Francorchamps. BBC Sport reported Norris is set for a 10-place drop after exceeding the permitted number of engine parts, while Autosport also reported McLaren fitted new Mercedes power-unit components.

Autosport reported Hadjar is set to start from the back after taking a fifth power unit of 2026, including a fifth internal combustion engine, turbocharger and exhaust system, beyond the season allowance of four. Motorsport.com reported Sainz is facing a 10-place drop after Williams fitted additional power-unit components following qualifying at Spa.

If confirmed, the reported penalties would affect drivers in different parts of the standings. Norris arrived in Belgium fifth in the drivers' championship on 103 points, Hadjar was eighth on 60, and Sainz was 15th on six.
