News - 2026-09-26 - By Jenny Marsh

BBC Sport and Autosport report Isack Hadjar is set to return for the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix after a wrist injury, with Liam Lawson linked to Racing Bulls.

BBC Sport and Autosport reported that Isack Hadjar is set to return for this weekend’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix after missing the past three races with a wrist injury. The move has not been confirmed in the supplied information, and Autosport reported that the Red Bull driver injured his wrist in training over the summer break before being advised not to drive.

Autosport also reported that Liam Lawson is expected to move back to Racing Bulls as part of the change. Hadjar has entered 33 Formula 1 races across 2025 and 2026, with one podium and a best finish of third.

The reported return would bring back a driver who sits eighth in the 2026 drivers’ championship on 86 points. Red Bull, meanwhile, is an Austrian constructor with 130 Grand Prix wins and six constructors’ titles.
