Max Verstappen took pole for the Austrian Grand Prix 2024 by 0.404s over Lando Norris, with George Russell third and both Ferraris in the top six.

Max Verstappen took pole position for the Austrian Grand Prix on 30 June 2024 with a Q3 lap of 1:04.314 at the Red Bull Ring. Lando Norris qualified second for McLaren, 0.404s behind Verstappen on a 1:04.718.

Qualifying

George Russell secured third for Mercedes with a 1:04.840 in Q3 in round 11 of the 2024 season. Carlos Sainz followed in fourth for Ferrari on 1:04.851, while Lewis Hamilton took fifth for Mercedes with a 1:04.903.

Charles Leclerc qualified sixth for Ferrari with a 1:05.044 after reaching Q3. Oscar Piastri placed seventh for McLaren on 1:05.048, and Sergio Pérez took eighth for Red Bull with a 1:05.202.

Top 10

Nico Hülkenberg put Haas F1 Team ninth on the grid with a 1:05.385 in Q3. Esteban Ocon completed the top 10 for Alpine F1 Team with a 1:05.883.

Verstappen had also led the earlier sessions with a 1:05.336 in Q1 and a 1:04.469 in Q2. Norris recorded 1:05.450 in Q1 and 1:05.103 in Q2 before taking second place in the final segment.
