Autosport reports Audi will not bring another F1 power unit upgrade before 2027, while Honda prepares a new Aston Martin engine run at the Hungaroring.

Audi is not expected to introduce another Formula 1 power unit upgrade before 2027, according to Autosport, which cited racing director Allan McNish. The report said Audi, which took over Sauber this year and launched its first F1 engine project, brought one update after a difficult start to the season but does not plan another before the end of 2026.

Separately, Autosport reported that Honda will run a new Formula 1 power unit at an Aston Martin filming day at the Hungaroring on Wednesday ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix. Motorsport.com also reported that Honda sees a path to becoming a leading competitor again after a difficult opening phase with Aston Martin. Honda has three Formula 1 wins and no titles, while Aston Martin has yet to score a race win or a constructors' title.
