2026 Belgian GP FP2: Antonelli reported quickest

Reports from Spa said Andrea Kimi Antonelli led Belgian GP FP2 for Mercedes ahead of Lando Norris, with Max Verstappen third in Friday running.

Reports from Spa-Francorchamps said Andrea Kimi Antonelli set the pace in Belgian Grand Prix Free Practice 2 for Mercedes. Formula1.com listed Antonelli ahead of McLaren driver Lando Norris and Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, while Motorsport.com reported a best lap of 1:45.944 put him 0.190 seconds clear of Norris, with Verstappen 0.472 seconds back in third.

Motorsport.com also reported two red flags during the session, first for gravel on the circuit and later for Pierre Gasly stopping on track. Antonelli arrived in Belgium leading the 2026 drivers' championship on 179 points, while Norris was fifth on 97. Formula1.com separately reported that Antonelli said Mercedes still had work to do after Friday running despite ending the session on top.
