Alpine lock in Colapinto alongside Gasly for 2027

Alpine have confirmed Franco Colapinto will stay with Pierre Gasly for 2027, keeping their line-up intact as Gasly sits P10 and Colapinto P12 in 2026.

Alpine have confirmed Franco Colapinto will remain with the team for the 2027 Formula 1 season, keeping the current pairing of Colapinto and Pierre Gasly in place. Formula1.com published the announcement, while BBC Sport also reported that Colapinto will stay with Alpine for 2027.

Autosport and Motorsport.com reported that the new agreement gives the 23-year-old Argentine a second full-time Formula 1 campaign. Colapinto has entered 36 Grands Prix from 2024 to 2026, with a best finish of sixth.

The decision keeps Alpine’s existing line-up together for another season. Gasly, born on 7 February 1996, has 187 Formula 1 entries from 2017 to 2026, with one win and six podiums; in the 2026 drivers’ championship he was 10th on 44 points, with Colapinto 12th on 19.
