Alex Albon confirmed to stay with Williams in 2027

Williams confirmed Alexander Albon for the 2027 Formula 1 season, with BBC Sport reporting the deal is a one-year extension after he joined in 2022.

Williams confirmed Alexander Albon will remain with the team for the 2027 Formula 1 season. BBC Sport reported the agreement is a one-year contract extension, while Formula1.com, Autosport, Motorsport.com and RaceFans also reported that Albon will stay with Williams next year.

Albon joined Williams ahead of the 2022 season, which means 2027 will be his sixth consecutive campaign with the team. Autosport and Motorsport.com reported that he had been among the drivers due to be out of contract at the end of this year.

RaceFans also reported that the new deal keeps Albon at Williams for 2027. The confirmation settles one of the team’s seats for next season.
