2027 F1 calendar set: Monaco joins sprint list

Formula 1 has confirmed its 2027 calendar, with 24 races, 10 sprint weekends and Monaco added to the sprint schedule for the first time.
Formula 1 has confirmed its 2027 World Championship calendar. BBC Sport reported the series will expand its sprint schedule from six weekends to 10, while Autosport and RaceFans said Monaco is included and will host a sprint for the first time.
Autosport reported the 24-race season will begin with the Bahrain Grand Prix on 14 March and end in Abu Dhabi. RaceFans also noted the championship is scheduled to open and close in the Middle East.
Across the reports, the 2027 calendar was presented as confirmed, with the main change being the increase in sprint weekends from six to 10.
